Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Branchburg Township School District recognizes that a safe and supportive environment is essential to student learning. We would like to share an update regarding our behavioral expectations and code of conduct that are designed to foster student growth and ensure high standards for academic, social, and emotional success.
During the last school year, the District’s Student Discipline/Code of Conduct Regulation was revised to ensure it continued to serve as a fundamental instrument in establishing clear behavioral standards and ensuring equitable and consistent consequences for any infractions at each school. These documents are reviewed and updated annually based on input from principals, administrative staff, faculty, and community stakeholders.
We strongly encourage you to thoroughly review these materials and discuss them with your student, as you deem appropriate. We have consistently reinforced these expectations at the beginning of the school year and will continue to do so throughout the academic period as necessary.
The Code of Conduct outlines clear behavior expectations for all students - on school grounds, buses, and at school-sponsored events. Students, staff and families share the responsibility of understanding and upholding these standards to maintain a positive school climate.
Our overall objective is to maintain school environments that provide the optimal climate and atmosphere for learning and growth. We appreciate your continued partnership and dedication to our staff and schools.
Below are the revised Code of Conduct expectations and consequences for each school:
In addition, if you are interested in finding out more about the details of implementation and follow up processes, please see the

Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Dr. Christine Burton
