Keyboarding Programs in the curriculum:
November lesson
 
KidKeys:  The program provides kids with a head start in keyboarding skills. Kidkeys involves children in keyboard orientation and reading readiness skills that influence the use of computer writing.

Typing for Fun:  The program provides a drill and practice with keyboarding skills and letter recognition. 
 
Animated Beginning typing: The program is user friendly and teaches the proper typing techniques and letter stroking.  Each grade level is able to work at their own pace and skill level.
 
The programs promote proper keyboarding skills and concepts with emphasis on the home row keys.  The students type site words, phases and sentences.  The keyboarding skills are applied to inter-curriculum activities.
 
Kindergarten: Locate the letters on the keyboard.
First Grade: Typing techniques, drill and practice, site words.
Second Grade: Typing techniques, drill and practice, word phrases, sentences and paragraphs
 
 
 
Assignment: continue practicing homerow keys at home......
